Agree that we all have some problems. Even millionaires and princes have problems. The point is, the problems never end. They increase in complexity. And the problems are not only financial.

They are all very different for us. But what unites us all is that we all want to be happier. We just want to be happy. And it always seems to us that until we get rid of these problems, we will not be able to live happily. Perhaps we are not happy at our job and want to change it. Or maybe we’re looking for a job and think we won’t be happy until we find one. Or we are very sad because we have lost someone. Perhaps we are mourning a family member who has passed away, or a relationship that has ended. Perhaps we have health issues that we are trying to accept. Or maybe we lost something financially. We all live with some kind of pain inside of us, thinking that we can’t be happy until we get rid of it.

Many people think that they will become happy as soon as they get rid of a certain problem. And they are deeply mistaken. In fact, as soon as you get rid of one problem, another, more difficult one will appear. That’s how life works. Therefore, it is dangerous to think so. After all, it may happen that you do not have time to be happy and enjoy this life to the fullest. Your life will go on waiting for the problems to be resolved. Or perhaps you have no problems, but you have unfulfilled goals or you want to achieve something. In this case, the exact same thing happens. Achievements also have no limits. The more you achieve, the more you will want to achieve. And you wait again, and wait, and wait ….

Have you ever been completely happy? Can you name a time when you didn’t have any problems, all your goals were achieved, and you didn’t want to change anything in your life? We are all constantly waiting for everything to be perfect. “As soon as I lose weight”, “as soon as I earn this much”, “as soon as I start a relationship”, “as soon as I move”, then I will truly enjoy life.

The thing is, that time will never come. We must accept it. No one will ever have a time when everything will be fine. Let’s say you have achieved your main goal and acquired the financial freedom that you have been dreaming about all your life. But as soon as you reach it, it may happen that someone in your family becomes seriously ill, and then nothing will matter, because there is nothing more important than the health of people close to you. Or, let’s say, you are really doing well, but then you find out that your husband or wife is cheating on you. Or you are diagnosed with some serious illness. Sorry for such terrible images. But, that’s exactly what happens in real life.
There is always, always, something else. Once you reach your goal, life loves to present us with a new challenge to solve. As if “Life” is testing you: “And how will you cope with this now? But with this? With this?”
Start creating magic right now. Not in a month, not in 6 months, but now. Use what you have now. Start where you are now. And just do what you can, what you can.

Living in the present moment, today, now is the secret to a happy life. When we are thinking in the present moment, here and now, then we are happiest. It doesn’t matter what we do, whether it’s fun or not. If we are concentrated on this activity and are in the present, not thinking about anything else, then we feel that we are happy.

Why does the present make us so happy? In fact, when we can fully immerse ourselves in the activity that we are doing at the moment, our brain is not overloaded with a bunch of thoughts and it does not have to do several things at the same time. We focus on one activity or one specific action, movement, and enjoy it completely. And, when we do this, we can fully give our attention to the people with whom we communicate and, thereby, be better conversationalists. And we will be able to do our job better on projects because we are completely focused on them.

Being in the present, you seem to be in the flow, in the right direction. And this is what will make you a more productive employee, a more loving partner, a more attentive son or daughter … You will become better at listening to people, more understanding of them, and as a result, more supportive and accepting of everyone as they are. You will have a happy relationship, which is one of the factors for success and happiness.
Bring your thoughts to the present. It may seem difficult and even scary at first. After all, it has become a habit to live not in the present, and you lived like that for years. So the first step is awareness. As soon as you notice your thoughts wandering into the future or past, stop yourself and return to the present and focus on what you are doing now. Pay attention to the activity you are engaged in or the people you are with.

So the first step is awareness. As soon as you notice your thoughts wandering into the future or past, stop yourself and return to the present and focus on what you are doing now. Pay attention to the activity you are doing or the people you are with right now.

Try to work with your attention. Immerse yourself completely 100% in what is happening in front of you now. Treat this like an exercise. And, like any exercise, it will be difficult in the beginning. But the more you repeat it, the better you will get.

Another of the best ways to get back to the present is through a tech detox. For half a day or all day, from time to time. It is desirable to do this in nature without any schedule or plans. This way your brain will rest. Go for walks without any purpose. Look at the sky. This may seem strange at first, because you are not used to doing nothing. You may even become uncomfortable. However, this is only at the beginning. Your brain needs time to calm down and get used to being in the present. Get over this temporary discomfort, because the quality of your life, work, and most importantly, relationships, depends on this, on your ability to be in the present. It doesn’t matter how fast you do something. Quality is more important than quantity. For example, when you cut vegetables for a salad, pay attention to how you cut. Focus on your every move.

Of course, it is important to have ambitions and goals. But to be able to achieve these goals and realize your highest potential, you must be able to be in the present. Being in the present, you will be able to get full satisfaction from the moment, from the task that is now facing you. You can be happy now, and not in an incomprehensible future that does not know when it will come. The fact is that many people hope that they will be happy in the future, but the future never comes. We always live in the present. We always live today. And until we learn to be happy today, now, we will never be happy.

When you stop and focus 100% on the tasks you are working on or the people you are with, then everything becomes joyful, even the most boring things. This joy then turns into productivity, efficiency, charisma, and your relationships with people become much better.
